Signs of the time (sent by a student of Prof. Chapman in April 2008)

1. At a bar/nightclub in France.. smoking inside is banned... one guy lights up and the DJ actually stops the music
and really gets stuck into this guy, saying that he's not starting the music again until this guy leaves.
Everyone is standing still looking at this guy who, humiliated, puts out the cigarette. Music starts again,
everyone resumes dancing. Never thought I'd see such a scene in France!

2. Sign outside a pub in London: Smokers that step outside to have a cigarette, are not permitted to re-enter the pub,
they must join the end of the line (the line was huge!)
